DUTCH politician Geert Wilders’ short film, Fitna, universally condemned throughout the Muslim world even BEFORE it was made, has been posted in Dutch and English on LiveLeak.

The film warns of the threat Islam poses to the Netherlands, and to Europe as a whole, and urges Europeans to see off Islam just as it did Nazism and Communism.

UPDATE: (Sat 29 March) A number of irony-blind Muslim morons decided to prove the point made in Wilders’ movie and threatened the staff of Liveleak with violence if they didn’t remove it.

It WAS removed, with Liveleak declaring:

Following threats to our staff of a very serious nature, and some ill-informed report from certain corners of the British media that could seriously affect the safety of some staff members, LiveLeak has been left with no other choice but to remove Fitna from our servers.

This is a sad day for freedom of speech on the net but we have to place the safety and well being of our staff above all else. We would like to thank the thousands of people from all backgrounds and religions who gave us their support. They realised that LiveLink.com is a vehicle for many opinions and not just for the support of one.

Perhaps there is still hope that this situation may produce a discussion that could benefit and educate all of us as to how we can accept one anothers culture.

We stood for what we believed in, the ability to be heard, but in the end the price was too high.

YouTube Preview ImageIt is up on YouTube (for now). And you can read a brilliant analysis of the Fitna controversy on Archbishop Cranmer’s award-winning blog. Here’s a flavour:

The default ‘blasphemy law’ in the UK is now Sharia, and it is under its absolutes that all religio-political discourse must now be conducted. The Qur’an is now treated with greater respect than the Bible; the name of Allah is more fearful than that of Jehovah; and the life and teachings of Mohammed are more sacred than those of Jesus.

Cranmer presumes the Archbishop of Canterbury is content with the incorporation of this aspect of Sharia into UK law, albeit by the back door.

  1. Good movie. This is how it IS. Stop calling that this is just a minor group of Muslims. If that is so, then why do we not hear of all those Muslims who agree with this movie and also would like to ban out those cruel lines from the Koran? I rest my case……

  2. Bloody hell. Was really looking forward to watching this but LiveLeak have already had to remove it due to threats on their staff. There is an apology there now stating it is a bad day for freedom of speech on teh net. Indeed!

  3. Every Religion speaks widely against Killing people of other faiths, with the EXCEPTION is Islam, surely the Minority HAS to be wrong here! European Nations have to adopt The Kingdom of Saudi’s stance……strict (other)Religion control. Their Economy has never faltered, so how can ours?…………….How can ours???

  4. I love how the Muslim extremists always prove the critics right.

  5. Everyone I know agrees with Geert Wilders, because Winston Churchill warned decades ago that Islam was a more dangerous ideology than Nazism, and all the evidence we have from the terrorism across the world confirms this. The politically correct mafia of the UK never allows Churchill to be quoted on Islam, because they know that if the public were aware of his warnings then there’d be real trouble.

  6. Blimey: Freethinker siding with His Grace Cranmer. You’ll be cheering on Ratzinger next.

Personally, I’m with Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed, who, asked if he found Fitna offensive, replied, “On the contrary, it’s just like a Mujahadeen video!”
