Dave whether the bible condemns homosexuality or not, who gives a shit? The bible is a bunch of crap made up by bronze age goat ~~fuckers~~ er herders, and has no standing or authority whatsoever in the 21st century. Shame so many people believe its contents are true.

This is the kind of thing that is really starting to make me hate religion. Why don’t you people figure out that gays are people too. You cant say they are going to hell just because they have different views than you……Yes I am homosexual. No it’s not because of a song or any media. It is because I am.

I can speak only for the experience I’ve had in my life and how I know that the presence of God in my life has saved me from my own destruction. There is a 66 chapter book explaining to everyone in great detail every situation in life and how to handle it. I know it works because the blessings of God in my life amaze me everday. I’m not naive or brainwashed, no one forces me to believe. What can I say, “I found a Savior and I like it, the taste and peace and grace.” I know the quality of life I have is because of what I believe, my life doesn’t spiral into chaos everytime a catastrophe hits. If one doesn’t believe in God at all then this sign shouldn’t offend you. After all if one doesn’t believe in God then Hell doesn’t exist either. I don’t claim to know everything but I do know that the Father does not want Christians to be condemning to anyone whether they agree with their lifestyle or not. What I am trying to say that as a Christian I do not agree with the sign and I’m offended by it. I think this pastor along with thousands of others have tried to shove their religion down people’s throats in an effort to bring them to Christ. I agree that they’ve failed miserably and should be ashamed of themselves. I believe whether a person is gay, lesbian, straight, bi, or trans sexual I have no reason to believe that, that person isn’t going to heaven. The scriptures say simply this, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and have faith that He is the Savior of the world and that is the only requirement for heaven. Being a Christian should not be used as a fire insurance policy. Being a Christian is like going on an all-inclusive cruise. Everybody on the boat is headed to same destination (heaven) but you can choose to stay in your cabin until you arrive and not enjoy all the ammenities on the boat or you can come out and live a little and enjoy the journey.

I agree. The content of the sign is not loving. If that was indeed his intent, then he missed the mark.

Nonetheless, if someone wants to examine what the scriptures say about sin, which includes homosexuality, and namely so in this case, please click the link associated with this post and examine for yourself.

If one has not given his life to Christ, then I don’t expect that person to hold Christ’s standards; however, IF one considers himself a follower of Christ, then in turn you imitate Christ and aim to be like him and please the Father…which cannot be achieved by willfully practicing sin.

I’ve always thought that, since God is apparently male and omnipotent, he can see through walls and ceilings… Any other male with those powers would be amazingly pro-lesbianism.

Valdemar I apologize you addressed your entry to Jill and I didn’t realize you meant me. I meant that God does not intend for the church’s purpose to be to condemn but they’ve done so anyway. Some church’s may have done so out of malicious intent but others I think do it because they think it’s what God wants, but it’s not.
