THE poison of shariah law which has begun infecting Britain is of considerable concern to many, not least British comedian Pat Condell, who posted an attack on this creeping Islamic threat to our legal system on YouTube.

Condell, of course, does not mince his words, and his video predictably got up certain noses. So YouTube, to its shame, blocked it.

The video contains to plea to sign a petition against sharia law being recognised in the UK. The deadline for signatures is October 4, 2008, SO PLEASE ACT NOW!

Here is the video YouTube blocked:

UPDATE: Condell’s video is back on YouTube. Pat says,

Enormous thanks to everyone who uploaded the video and to everyone who contacted YouTube. And my thanks to YouTube for reinstating the video. I’m very much obliged.

  1. This makes my blood boil. How long before his site is banned! Before you know it it will be what’s left of our right to free speech as this creeping poison finishes taking over what’s left of our country. Ha! free speech that’s already a joke! I’ll probably have someone knocking on my door now for posting this.

  2. I have sent an email to Youtube to bitch about this. Feel pissed off? Do something!!! Send a letter or email………..We need to fight this and Pat Condell is worth fighting for!!!

  3. I’ve found something in the Arab news that I think might be at least partly what is behind Condell’s video being dumped from You Tube – The Kuwait Human rights commision has called on YouTube to remove all videos profaning Muhammed as it is, and I quote, “the worst form of human rights violation in the world.” !!

    I’ve just blogged about this here;

I can’t believe the deludedness of these people !!

  4. Thorum, what email did you use for youtube? I looked earlier, but only found contact pages for asking them to block content.

  5. Google don’t want their programme of world domination undermined by the Saudi’s banning youtube… Cowards. They’ve already lost China.

Pat will always find an outlet for his brilliant mind, I and will be here to listen. Sign the petition and don’t vote Labour!

  6. Well, I signed the petition, for what it’s worth. I noticed they only show the last 500 sigs, out of over 3,000. Impressive. But why oh why oh why are so few signatories women? Where are the sisters? Shopping for shoes, perhaps? Watching their Sex and the City DVD collections, while equality before the law for British women is quietly abandoned (by a Labour government)?

  7. What is the real explanation for this? Did someone in the Labour government contact YT and get heavy with them?

There is no logic to this since Pat has posted multiple videos at YT with exactly the same message, meaning, and politics.

I loathe the stupid, pathetic, conspiracy theory BS that Muslims constantly post at YT serving to proselytise their religion by obsuring and, basically, defecating on common sense facts. I am not a conspiracy theorist whacko.

This YT stunt, however, smells very badly of some kind of behind the scenes influence and since the video linked to Number 10 petitions I think the suspicions are obvious.

  8. Wow. I thought we were having our constitution eroded by the God-addled Bush and his cronies. The far left and the far right always seem to achieve the same effect. Totalitarianism.

  9. There must be thousands of these rug-butting imbeciles constantly trawling the internet, examining the minutiae in the hope of finding something that disagrees with their perverted view of the world. Every time they whinge or threaten to bomb, our spineless Government and equally feeble big business capitulates. Can’t upset the delusion purveyors can we? Yes we can and should at every opportunity!

I’ve just signed the petition and emailed everyone in my address book asking them to do the same. Not that our muzzie loving Government will take any notice.

Valdemar, shame on you for your sexist attack. Sex & the city is about as interesting as the koran & bible, and most of my shoes are wellies.

  10. There is nothing intolerant about applying the law equally to all, and bringing every one before the same judicial system. The Muslims are no entitled to a separate court system. It is ridiculous.
As for Burqas- my prime concern is public safety. What if a “male” bank robber wears one, just to hide in plain sight?
I am disappointed, but not surprised, at YouTube- it’s not their first time.

  11. I have been watching Pat for a while now and must admit that I enjoy his sharp wit from time to time. Raising public awareness is a good thing but throwing blanket statements like “an entire country being mentally ill” do not help I’m sure.

  12. Tolerance and diversity is not only great in paper. It is also great in practice… come on Pat for a smart guy you sure say “non-smart” things.

  13. @qbsmd

I wrote them at their street address as I also only found contact pages leading to other pages… etc.

  14. The video is currently on YouTube.

  15. It’s back on Youtube this evening! Power to the people and freedom to protest, just hope it lasts!!

  16. If Pat Condell’s videos are removed, then YouTube must remove every actual hate inspiring video that muslims produce. Hypocrisy like this needs to be addressed before Muslims think that they can take our freedom of speech and our legal system for a ride back to the stone age where they came from.
