I’m confused. I thought Mohammed explicitly forbade a priesthood for Islam.

I’m also confused as to how anybody could be so stupid, of course, but that’s pretty much a daily occurrence. Anyone who thinks religion leads to the advance of civilization should ponder this kind of nonsense.
