IN a last-ditch attempt to gag poet Patrick Jones, Christian prodnose Stephen “Birdshit” Green has launched a petition calling on the Welsh National Assembly to cancel Jones’ planned appearance at the Assembly on December 11 to be cancelled.

Patrick Jones, with his 'blasphemous' book of poetry
In response, we have launched a counter-petition.
As of this morning, Green has managed to gather 437 signatures for his petition, which reads:
The Liberal Democrat culture spokesman, Peter Black AM, has invited the poet Patrick Jones to insult Jesus Christ in the National Assembly If the event goes ahead the militant atheist will read his poems – which insult Jesus Christ and call for an end to Christian worship – in Committee Room 24 of the Assembly at 12 noon on Thursday 11th December.
Black has gone out of his way to show contempt for Christians in Wales. We seek a united front from the Church in Wales condemning this provocative act by Peter Black AM. If you are in agreement that the proposed event should not go ahead then please sign the petition.
Great as the temptation may be to use Green’s petition to tell him what an artless tosser he is, please refrain from doing so as it simply adds to his signature count.
Our petition reads:
The Liberal Democrat culture spokesman in Wales, Peter Black AM, has invited the poet Patrick Jones to read his poems in Welsh National Assembly. Religious zealot Stephen Green, of Christian Voice, has launched a petition calling for the event – to be held in Committee Room 24 of the Assembly at 12 noon on Thursday, December 11 – to be cancelled on the grounds that such a reading would be “blasphemous”.
We find Green’s continuous attacks on free speech reprehensible, and call on the Assembly to allow this reading to go ahead as planned without hindrance.
For those wondering what became of Green’s impending bankruptcy, the folk over at the Pink Triangle Trust now have the answer.
