The delicious irony is that the exact same warning could be put on the Bible:

“Many, if not most, parents who buy their kids Bibles really don’t know the extent of sex and violence imbedded in them. I hate biblethumpers. They have no logic, are weak, pathetic excuses for human beings. We are all atheists, I just believe in one less god than they do, and when they realize why they dismisses all other gods as delusion, they’ll see exactly why I dismiss their imaginary buddy. Plus the Egyptian religion lasted twice as long as christianity; I’m hoping that like said mythology, christianity will die out and people will stop being so damn stupid. The whole antiquated myth is based on inconsistency, lie, politics and blatant fiction, and is obsolete in a society which wants to advance peacefully. Pathetic selfrighteous animals.

Violent video games eh??, I’ll be getting a shitload of them from satan claus this christmas:P

I read this story over on the game politics website and followed the link to their list of games to be concerned about and it was some funny reading, especially when it had Mario and LittleBigPlanet alongside the likes of GTA and manhunt and their comment about the homoerotic undertones between the two charachters in army of two was hilarious.

Actually this could work the other way too, as I see, for example, they avoid half the world’s top 500 companies simply because they give staff benefits to same sex couples but invest in known scumbags like Exxon because they don’t.
So – their investment portfolio would be a handy guide to the world’s vilest, most bigoted companies. Essential info for anyone with a genuine interest in ethical investment!

This guy may be a nutjob, but I can’t say I disagree that ‘M’ rated games are just that, games with mature content, and generally, shouldn’t be played by children.

The guide itself is not a bad thing, maybe a little gay-paranoid, but some parents just don’t that games are already rated, and you can easily find out information about them on the interwebs.

That last bit is amazing, but oddly typical. For some reason Christians – esp. the US variety – think making guns, bombs etcetera is fine with their fantasy deity. They ask ‘What would Jesus do?’ about some fart-arsed little issue like taking Post-Its from work, but never ask themselves how many shekels Jesus and his pals invested in Imperial Roman Swords and Javelins plc.
