Guess what? Muslims are furious – again!

OK, so who’s sent their fury-o-meter clear off the scale this time?  Why, it’s Rev Zakariah Botros, an Egyptian Coptic Christian priest living in exile in the US.

Botros said bad things about the “prophet” Mo last week on an Arab language radio broadcast in Detroit – namely that the horny old goat had engaged in necrophilia and gay sex.

Oooo-er!

We all know about Mo’s paedophile tendencies, but necrophilia and gay sex … ?

Botros swears it is true – and he should know, being an ex-rug-butter himself.

I am a former Muslim. I know exactly what I am talking about. These are the things we were taught as children. We are quoting the Quran and the hadiths, and if the Muslims have a problem with that then they have a problem with their own book.

According to this report, Amani Mostafa, who hosts the WNZK 680/690 AM programme Questions About Faith on which Botros spoke explained that  the priest was “reading from an Islamic text” when he said that the Prophet Mohammed slept in the grave of a dead woman and allowed a man to kiss and caress his chest.

Botros has previously come under fire from Muslims, who say he disses Islam. He can be heard on purchased time slots on radio stations internationally. His words have stirred controversy across the Islamic world, and are embraced by a number of bloggers and web sites that criticize Islam.

Muslims, of course, say that no such wording appears in the Quran or the hadiths.

Sima Birach, who owns the station, said he had received some complaints, though he said he did not know how many. He said he had since heard from “several prominent people in the community,” that what Botros stated in the broadcasts was true.

It will not come as a surprise that radical Muslims want Botros very, very dead. The Arabic newspaper al-Insan al-Jadid has named him Islam’s “Public Enemy #1″ – and last year a $60-million bounty was put on his head by a coalition of wealthy Islamic nutters.
