I WAS just about to blog about blasphemy in Finland, but I’ve just received an e-mail from Dave over at MediaWatchWatch, containing a link to the dumbest – and funniest – Christian YouTube musical video ever!
Listen out for this verse:
Once I tried to run, I tried to run and hide
But Jesus came and found me and he touched me down inside
He is like a mountie, he always gets his man
And he’ll zap you any way he can … ZAP!

Blasphemy in Finland will hold until tomorrow.

I have to say that I thought this was a spoof when it started!! "He taught me how to turn my cheek when people laugh at me" – yeah, there must be a lot of "cheek-turning" going on then!!!

Okay, hands up who actually ROFLed?

"The Osmond's really need…."__Surely this was a typo, and you are well aware that apostrophes are NOT used to make plurals?
April 26th, 2009 at 9:31 pm
Fucking hell.
The Osmonds really need to get a new agent!
April 26th, 2009 at 9:34 pm
Eh. What typo?
Barry. I love this new comment system.

…and you are well aware that apostrophes are NOT used to make plurals?
But Mormons are. I rest my case('s!)

Apparently you were able to go back and correct the typo, as I find that I am not. But it was certainly there when I commented on it.

I am delighted that under your new system you do not have to keep deleting troll drivel, as it does not get published in the first place.
Now perhaps unteachables who cannot grasp that sin means the unnecessary hurting of a nonconsenting victim, and instead believe that right and wrong are whatever a 2,000-year-old book of fairy tales says they are, will quit their harassment and post their ignorance to sites where being dangerously, criminally, certifiably insane is not a handicap.

Oh, you rascal!

Dr Harwood. The 'Englisdh' teacher. Was that you being sneaky?

More proof that the Devil gets all the good tunes

"He loves me when I waste my time by writing silly songs"
Just as well eh?
April 26th, 2009 at 11:53 pm
I was wondering where I had heard that beat before.
1979. It's Mod-Pop/Ska. It's Suggs.
These people really are influenced by Madness!

Wow, I can't believe that this video took so long to grace these pages.
If anyone plays bass guitar and knows the TAB for this tune I'd love to do a rip off of it, 'cause it's so damn catchy. I'm only a beginner so my ear isn't too got, otherwise I'd figure it out for myself.
P.S. Was my use of apostrophes ok?

Ed, just do a google search for 'Jesus is my friend' by Sonseed tabs, or try this
G|————————-|
D|—6-9—6-9————-| repeat
A|-7—–7——-4-7—6-9-| four times
E|————-5—–7—–|

"Jesus is a friend of mine".
Bob Dylan could almost sue them…
If another country releases that as a Eurovision entry, we don't have a hope in Hell!

What a great video. It's songs like this that make life worth living and I especially like the shirts, they look like they've stepped out of a 70 (apostrophe) s porno. Not that I ever watch that stuff.
April 27th, 2009 at 9:41 am
Awesome in every way.
I'm recording a death metal cover version of this any day now…
April 27th, 2009 at 2:27 pm
You should call it " Jesus is a fiend of mine" Just a thought!
April 27th, 2009 at 4:16 pm
Yes Remigius–I thought it was a rMadness rip off –the beat not the lyrics -I wonder if -Suggs has heard this

Does anyone remember a Simsons episode where the lead singer of a gospel group tells Ned Flanders that she lost her drummer to a Pentecostal Ska band? I think this must be the band in question. Talking of ripping off Dylan, I think it quite ironic that the song used in the ads against CD piracy, Knock off Nigel, is a knock off of the times they are a changing.

Cheers Wurble, I'd already tried a Google search, but came up blank myself. What you've posted sounds spot on. Thanks!

Where can I buy their album?
