ABDULHAKIM Muhammad, 23, who has been charged with fatally shooting an American soldier at a military recruiting centre, said yesterday that he did not consider the killing murder because US military action in the Middle East justified his actions.

Survivor Pvt Quinton I Ezeagwula, left, and the man who shot him, Abdulhakim Muhammad
A second soldier was injured in the attack on June 1.
Said Muhammad:
I do feel I’m not guilty. I don’t think it was murder, because murder is when a person kills another person without justified reason.
The murdered soldier, whose funeral was held on Monday, was Pvt William Andrew Long, 23. The wounded recruit was Pvt Quinton I Ezeagwula, 18.
According to this report, Muhammad told Associated Press that he admitted to his actions to police, and said he was retaliating against the US military.
Yes, I did tell the police upon my arrest that this was an act of retaliation, and not a reaction on the soldiers personally. It was an act, for the sake of God, for the sake of Allah, the Lord of all the world, and also a retaliation on US military.
Muhammad said he wanted revenge for claims that American military personnel had desecrated copies of the Koran, and had killed or raped Muslims.
This no Muslim, male or female, sane or insane, little, big, small, old can accept or tolerate. US soldiers are killing innocent Muslim men and women. We believe that we have to strike back. We believe in eye for an eye. We don’t believe in turning the other cheek.

BTW: Referring back to an earlier post, it would seem that Muslim men don`t believe in "turning the other cheek" unless they are having anal sex. Have I got that right?

Typical yet awful post. When I read this though my first thought was Why oh Why did we have to follow the Americans into Iraq and why weren't some top politicians made to pay with their careers for the lies and deception that was used to get us there….. mind you, not that it would have stopped this guy doing this whatever. Depressing.

I feel so sorry for the family of the young man who was murdered. It would be bad enough losing him in this pointless war, but at least they could then console themselves with the thought that he died fighting for his country. To lose him like this is truly appalling, and an act of pure cowardice.

Funny how snivelling cowardice, sneaky backstabbing and attacking soft targets are synonymous with islamic behaviour. Look at honour killings for example = young women often lured to places by their own fucked-in the-head brothers, then brutally murdered simply because of their choice of boyfriend. ie – if he's not related too them, or a simliar fucktard.
Of course, Its criminal too that the US waged war on their shithole countries, and W bush should be lynched for crimes against humanity – xtians have their billion dollar war machine to unleash on idiot peasants who wipe their arses with their own hands. Thats something to be proud of too. NOT
No one comes out covered in glory – and guess what – its all because of make believe gods.

Yet another claim by a loony that he had to do something for an omnipotent being. "Brainwashing" is a discredited term. What would be the best word for "freeing from delusions"? More to the point, what would be the best way of trying to do it?

But…but…I thought we were fighting them there so we WOULDN'T have to fight them here. Didn't it work?
