The refrigerator is constantly cycling on and off. Each time it does that it causes a spark. If you are not turning off the frig during sabbath then you are in violation anyway. And the termostat – spark spark.That is not to mention the thousand blinking gadgets that we all have for charging our phones, ipods, razors, electronic toothbrushes etc. There are sparks going on like crazy in every modern house.

No, it doesn’t add up.

Hi all,

I am an atheist however i find the vitriol being expressed here amazing. (Don’t you know that your ISP can be forced to hand over your details if you have been found to defame/libel etc?) I don’t think calling a couple of harmless jewish people dolts, wingnuts, twats is very clever.

No point in arguing if their beliefs are valid/logical – (obviously not). All religions – including chiropractic, homeopathy etc are stupid…. but as an atheist, do you really want to live in a world where nobody is allowed to believe in anything?

Yes, they should be allowed (at their own cost) to install an override system. Yes, all public buildings should have wheelchair access. Yes, muslims should be able to wear whatever damn clothes they want. What’s the difference?

but I am sorry to say that my reaction is one of sheer dismay.

these people and their damned RELIGION(S)!!!!
they should be making the world better by healing hurts and giving all they can to those with nothing…… I am saddened by the continuing pursuit of the religious and self righteous; it keeps us all on the hamster wheel, arguing, bickering, fighting, hating and binding us to the meaningless.

the fact that someone could ACTUALLY be so concerned with something as petty as an automatic sensor, is simply REPULSIVE.

I do not wish these pathetic and ugly fools anything except illumination.. pun intended

peace in the heart leads to peace in the home which leads to peace in the community which leads to peace among nations……

As usual, the religious reich thinks everyone else should change to suit them. But suggest that they compromise even a little, and they scream “Discrimination! Our rights are being violated!” Apparently, no one else has any rights.

Most of the problems of the world are, and always have been caused by religion.

Mankind will never truly be free until the black yoke of religion is lifted by the clear light of truth and logic.

Don'tBeanass thats the problem they are impossing there lifestyle on other people, what the hell are the other residents meant to do? walk around in the dark just cos two people live by a set of idiotic laws some fiction writers scribed on paper thousands of years ago, I thought the society we lived in was based on reason and logic not stone aged crap like this. I understand, they dont wanna upset there all loving god and burn in hell for eternity but I have something to tell the colemans NOT EVERYBODY BELIVES IN AN INVISIBLE MAN THAT NOBODY HAS EVER SEEN TOUCHED SMELT OR HEARD AND DOCUMENTED IT. If a person with schizophrenia were asking the building to turn the lights off because they attracted aliens would his wish be accommodated? Yes. Being a reasonable person and wanting to be friendly to my fellow man. Yes. It would not effect me in the slightest, so why not. Obviously, people out there wouldn't lift a finger to help anyone, unless there is something in it for them. In fact it seems, they wouldn't lift a finger even if it didn't effect them.
