I find it sad to read the comments here. If you are atheists and have any good to contribute to the world, this attack of a fellow human being whether you agree with her views or not does nothing for your cause. I happen to be a Christian who agrees with much of what Andrea says because she bases her views on biblical teaching. This makes me (and Andrea) no more fundamentalist than an atheist. If you don’t like the Christian view you attack it in a nasty, hateful way, why can’t you simply disagree in a mature fashion? As for Angela K’s comment about being obsessed with sex, has she seen what’s going on around her lately? I would say it is non- Christians who are obsessed with sex and enjoying it much less as a result!

Now Williams is comparing the equality laws proposed for the EU as social genocide. She wants to continue her discrimination and make money for her organisation. First, Andrea has had breast cancer, so comments about her person are unfair.
Second, unfortunately on becoming a religious fundamentalist and only referring to those parts of the bible to support her beliefs, she has become prejudice, intolerant and obsessed. She refuses to enter into a conversation and doesn't care whose feelings she hurts. It very sad that someone as intelligent as her promotes hatred in the name of christianity.

As much as I dislike th fundies, I strongly agree that free speech protection is essential, even for people whose position we oppose.

Censorship has a nasty habit of coming around to bite you. Once it’s enabled it winds up becoming a tool in ways that the original framers never intended, and it is totally naive to assume that it will only be used to prevent speech we find offensive or dangerous.

Now I live across the pond, where free speech is a bit more strongly enshrined (if not always in practice), and I am glad for that as I see our British and European friends slipping further and further into government controlled correct-speak.

You`re talking about Utopia, Angela-K! Muslims are totally deluded, but of course they should be allowed to believe what they wish. However, inciting others to engage in the persecution of minorities in society, which is closely allied to the physical abuse of those minorities, cannot be tolerated. We`re not talking about "criticism" here! Likewise, however much we may object to their views, Muslims should be protected from discrimination purely on the grounds of their religious belief.
