One of the things I find disturbing about this – though don't get me wrong, it is entirely disturbing – is the fact that this woman insists that the kid wanted them to do the "exorcism" or whatever word you want to use to make it sound less harsh as if that makes it ok to treat a 16 year old kid with sexuality issues this way. I think she shows a ghastly disregard for her position as a mature adult dealing with a young teenager looking for guidance by allowing this kind of treatment to occur, regardless of what the kid wants. I've heard several people say 'well, they really believe they're doing something constructive and good for the kid.' In that case, none of these people should be in a position of power over anyone as this honest and complete belief would, in my mind, stand as proof that they are not capable of determining what behaviors may or may not screw someone up for the rest of their life. If adults want to writhe and vomit in front of a bunch of people, whatever, but when you council a 16 year old kid to engage in this kind of behavior it becomes an issue which is far more complicated than consensual religious expression.

Are spirits hard of hearing or something? Why is it necessary to shout at them all the time? And why is it necessary to keep emphasising certain words – like "I COMMAAAND you!": "In the Name of JEEESUS!": "By the POOOWER of the Holy Spirit!" etc. Surely, if they are being "exercised", as this good lady states, by the power of God, it would be sufficient to just tell them so in a normal voice – and once only as well! This is showmanship, pure and simple, of course, and designed to dupe the gullible. (Hint – Google "Benny Hinn" for a real laugh – that`s what they`re imitating here. You may remember Clive James featuring him – many years ago now!!)

Anyone else think that this “saved” man has confused anonymous sex in public toilets with a homosexual “spirit”? I’m no an expert, but I’m sure the mysterious floating appendage that appeared from out of the wall and the ghostly “Woooooooooooooh!” sounds and banging can be rationally explained. I don’t know about the “ectoplasm” though.
