Yes, I totally agree about the writing. With the koran, I can't say about the original, but the translators nearly all buy into that KJV English. God talks like that, y'unnerstand.

BTW Have you ever read the Book of Mormon? The reason I ask is that it seems to me to be written in much the same way as the Koran. When I first got hold of a copy of the book of Mormon and started reading it I just collapsed in laughter that anyone could take any of it seriously! Quite apart from the ludicrous exploits of the Ten Lost Tribes, it appears to be written in a sort of "cod KJV English". It`s just as if a child had read a bit of the Bible and was reproducing the style without a proper grasp of the rules of grammar. Now, when I read the Koran, I get that self-same feeling that the author has read the Bible, and said to himself: "Hey, I could write something just like that, including some of the same material, and pass it off as my own work." Do you agree?

I like your blog Uzza, though where you find the time for all that analysis I just don`t know! I`m amazed to read that you don`t get many Mohammedans visiting the site though, as their usual MO (just like their fundamentalist, crackpot Christian cousins) is to seek out sites that are critical of their precious beliefs and inundate them with screeds of mindless propaganda (AKA "comments"). It`s like a virus really!!
