YOUNG Chris Pesto decided to retaliate when a foolish fundie wearing an ankle-length corduroy skirt decided to take her sad little anti-gay message to Syracuse University, NY, last week.

Chris Pesto got great support for his counter-protest
According to this report, he stood alongside nutjob evangelist Michelle Deferio with his “Corduroy skirts are a sin” placard – and mustered a great deal of support from passers-by.
Explained Chris:
This woman was wearing an ankle-length corduroy skirt, which, as we all know, is a fashion no-no. So, in order to make her feel uncomfortable, I stood next to her and held a sign that said corduroy skirts are a sin!
I don’t think I have ever drawn so much attention in my life. SO many people asked to have a picture taken with me. I got laughs, high fives and there were the few that even cursed off the woman.
Before you could say “silly moo”, Chris had 100-plus people supporting him with gay rights signs, and they asked people to honk their horns in support. He was interviewed by a local newspaper, a news station – and more than five student organisation papers.
I never expected anybody to come stand by and support me. I appreciate it so much that everyone came! It meant so much and it proved to ignorant people that we aren’t afraid, and we will put up a fight. I’m proud that Syracuse has such a homosexual-friendly community.
And while on the subject of ignorant twats, we learn that a “witness” organised by British homophobe, Stephen “Birdshit” Green, went tits up when he and a bunch of fellow loons pitched up at Perry Beeches Secondary School in Great Barr, Birmingham – only to find that it was closed for teacher training.
The school incurred Green’s wrath because its openly-gay head teacher Liam Nolan invited well-known actor and gay activist Sir Ian McKellen to speak to pupils on the subject of gay bullying.
According to this report, Nolan said:
We are the most improved school in the country. We are a Birmingham Rep school, and I am an out gay head teacher and he is an out gay leading actor.
He added:
It was only in September that a 50-year-old man was killed by teenagers in London for being gay. We can’t have that in this country. We have to be more tolerant and understanding.
Green tried to put a brave face on latest of his many failures:
The children were not in school, but the leafleting went ahead anyway, and a number of parents of children at local schools and the older pupils at a nearby comprehensive received leaflets showing how homosexuality was not as lovely as Sir Ian McKellen and head Liam Nolan pretended it was and how Jesus Christ can forgive, heal and release those caught up with homosexual desires.
Liam Nolan was not at all happy with the witness. But … there is nothing he can do about it. Thanks to the House of Lords, Christians still have freedom of speech to preach against sin – including homosexuality – and against indoctrinating children with lies.

As long there’s no objective way to tell the difference between information or indoctrination we’ll have to live with faith-based opinions and the likes of Stephen Green and, more dangerous than this village-idiot, the ‘Pope’. It’s all up to us to make the distinction and enable children to be able to do just the same.
BTW: I like this ‘how Jesus Christ can forgive, heal and release those caught up with homosexual desires.’ Keep it up, Stephen!

What is it with Xtian fundies? Why are they so intolerant and full of hatred? Oh, I was forgetting. Their god is a murdering, sadistic, genocidal, despotic, tyrannical monster.

Birdshit’s latest is a scream.
They aren’t against indoctrinating children with lies at all – they are against the truth!
He’s so repressed – I recon he needs Ray comfort and Fred Phelps to call round his place to get together for a spit roast.

Er, thanks for that image Shargraves. As usual, Green is reduced to insisting that his embarrassing failures are actually enemy-rattling moral victories just because his presence was clearly unwelcome. Could this recurring delusion be his symbolic way of ‘turning water in to wine’?
Chris Pesto, may Santa leave a baby-oiled hunk in an edible g-string under your tree.

Chris is a genious, there’s no point in debating or negotiating with fundies as they are batshit crazy and nothing you say is going to stop them so lets just take the piss out of them and have a laugh at their expense.
Isn’t there something in the old testiment about wearing clothes with mixed fibres being a sin and eating rabbit being a sin?? yet when asked about homosexuality xtians always say “Oh you can’t pick and choose what you belive in the bible” hey bampots you already do.
Sir Ian mcKellen visiting a school is pretty damn cool as well, don’t fuck with magneto unless you have retractable adomantium claws and I don’t think birdshit has those

A girl stood on the pavement with a banner about sin,
Blaming all the homos for the state the country’s in:
She thought her action was so godly, wondrous and sublime,
Until a guy informed her that her outfit was a crime!

I wear corduroy skirts! I MUST REPENT!
Oh help me big gay fashion-Jesus!
I’m so jealous of those kids, they got to meet GANDALF! What next? They get to meet John Barrowman? They get to look upon Captain Jack Harkness in all his glory and I don’t?! Outrage I say!
Stories like this really bring a smile to my face.

It is, indeed, heartening to hear of the level of public support which Chris received here! And if “indoctrinating children with lies” is so wicked, how come schools still hold religious assemblies?

re: Barriejohn, I’m thinking Mr Green must have been born with a severe irony deficiancy, a common illness amongst the faithful.

The fundies are delusional. The only ones trying to indoctrinate others ARE the fundies.

Hats off for Chris Pesto! What a great guy, the World needs more people like him who have the guts to take direct action. I bet that dour looking woman with no brain or fashion sense is fun to be with.
