She loves her husband so much she has agreed to spend her entire life pretending to be a Muslim. Any religion which forces conversions cheapens itself by compelling people to live a lie. Why do you think this is a good thing? Why do you appear to think that this is acceptable? And what if a Hindu or Buddhist woman falls in love with a Muslim man, since they aren't 'people of the book'? Actually, best not answer for the Buddhists - we all know about Islam and Buddhism throughout history - just look what was done to the Khotan desert civilisation, to Nalanda university in India and about the land evictions being committed against Bangladesh's Buddhist minority. Also, being gay is an 'offence' worthy of the death penalty in Iran and Saudi Arabia. If I were to go out and demand the death of anyone I think I might be arrested and quite rightly so. When the BRITISH law is applied to ALL, the the likes of the EDL and BNP will lose so much credibility. I did report the incident to the police, but guess what...too busy, not important, I was being petty...! No wonder there is such an uprising. I have to say I have several Asian/Muslim/Hindu/you name it friends and they are very concerned about the rise in fundie activity and the fact that they are being focused upon by the right wing nutters. I feel sorry for them because no matter that I don't share their beliefs I am prepared to RESPECT them, daft as I think they are. Like many I am quite willing to allow anyone their beliefs but NEVER demand that either I or anyone else conform to their woo woo! Thanks Marcus. The way we have treated Jesus has lead to him being ridiculed and does hurt alot of chirstains .
