PASTOR George Randall “Randy” Scott, of the Bethel Temple Assembly Of God Church in Bryan, Texas, has been granted bail of $5,000 after recently being arrested for allegedly pretending to be a teenager online to meet men, then blackmailing them into having oral sex.

But Scott, 51, told police that he was merely monitoring “men seeking men” ads on Craigslist because he:
Wanted to get into the mindset of someone who was into that sexually.
In an affidavit, detective Patrick McCarthy said Scott began posting ads saying he was a 20-year-old man, but would then tell people who responded to them that he was only 16.
He said that when Scott showed up at their apartments, they would be shocked. Scott said that he would then sit down and talk with the men about why they were wanting to meet other males for sex.
Scott said he wanted to help the people he met and that their meetings would often end in prayer.
Scott was arrested in Houston when he returned from vacationing with his wife in Sweden.
Court documents indicate that an unidentified man told police in November 2009, that he exchanged e-mails with Scott and arranged for him to come to his apartment. Scott threatened to report the informant, identified as John Doe, for trying to have sex with a 16-year-old.
Detective McCarthy wrote in his affidavit that Scott told the informant that he could either go inside and have oral sex, or he would call the police.
Doe said that he chose to go inside.
Scott was charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit an assault, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Court documents say that the informant told police that he contacted Scott after seeing an ad on Craigslist offering to “hook up”. They exchanged about 12 e-mails over two days, including one in which Scott told him that he was 16 and in high school.
The informant provided investigators access to the e-mails. McCarthy said in his report that he determined that some of the messages had been written at Bethel Temple. He visited the church and said he noticed that Scott matched the description of the man the informant gave. His vehicle also matched the informant’s description.
Scott told the investigator that Doe’s account was correct, except that they never touched each other.
Assistant District Attorney Brian Price said charges could also be brought against the informant if it was determined that he attempted to solicit sex from a minor.
It would depend on the evidence.
Online solicitation of a minor is a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Another one! Why does anyone trust or believe anything these people say?

Yet another xian hypocrite conducting “research”.
I suppose George Alan Rekers will offer solace as he cries in his beer.

Considering he was putting himself at risk of prosecution i.e for arranging a hook up with an underage teen, why would the informant report the Pastor to the authorities if all Scott did was give him a lecture about sexuality and prayer?

Quite looks like Dr. Rekers too!

I like that “trying to get into the mindset of men wanting that kind of sex”. And then the “doing research.” But it all ends in prayer. Of course it does. A combination of hypocrisy and sanctimony mixed with the religious bit makes a putrid stew. Yuk!

Well, you do have to get down on your knees to pray…

“Wanted to get into the mindset of someone who was into that sexually”. That has to be the euphemism of the week!

What a weird, screwed up, sick, twisted fucktard.
If he just realised he was gay, and that was that, and got on with life, he wouldn’t have got himself into such a hilarious morass.
Being gay is nothing out of the ordinary – but he manages to be a creepy, sicko, pretend-child, extortionist in the name of religion to achieve a “mindset?”
wtf? Sure pal, thats not weird, screwed up, sick or twisted or fucktarded AT ALL.
What do the LGBT folk on here think when american religious gay men – who have spent a great deal of effort causing hate crime against the gay community – and who don’t even acknowledge the concept of being gay as a real trait – implode like this?
Clearly they are demented individuals, but with totally surmountable psycholgical problems that could be solved easily if they faced reality, rather than sticking to a series of lamentable fables, imbecilic tales, and murderous propaganda, compiled by ignorant savages who were brainlessly fucking about in a primitive shit-hole desert society, on a planet that they had absolutely no idea was even round, over two thousand years ago….
What gives?

It’s amazing how many of these religious perverts do “research” like this.

Come on, Stephen Green, when are you coming out of the closet? Don’t let the yanks do it all!
