NEXT weekend will see the staging of Anglesey’s first ever gay Mardi Gras event – and Stephen “Birdshit” Green, the demented creator of Christian Voice, will be there to:

Release homosexuals from being gay.

Event organiser Keith Parry, and Green with one of his silly leaflets

According to this report, more than 2,000 people are expected to attend the three-day event at Anglesey’s Mona Showground, and Green – recently exposed as a wife and child-beater - says he will be there to lead a band of his delusional followers in hymn-singing and leafleting.

The pathetic Greenites, numbering around 12, will also chat to people:

To explain that no one has to stay gay.

He added:

The fact that people have been released from homosexuality by the word of Jesus is a major challenge for the gay rights movement. We will be at the entrance with a dozen or so members on the Friday and Saturday.

Event organiser Keith Parry responded thus:

We have been informed by police that they are staging this protest but this will not ruin our weekend. This event is not about gay rights, there will not be any speeches on gay rights, it is just about having a party … this [protest] is just giving us more publicity. If they start upsetting people or using homophobic language then action will be taken.

  1. I hope that the Mardi Gras event is a big success, and that Birdshit Green’s protest is the miserable flop it deserves to be. If my hopes turn into reality, then perhaps Green will finally get the message and leave people to get on with their lives. I’m not holding my breath though.

I would dearly like to know why monotheism has such a problem with gays. Idiots like the King of Birdshit like to portray it as an illegitimate lifestyle choice, when sensible people know that sexuality is something we are born with. If Green is right about gayness being a choice, then why would it be illegitimate? Has the King of Birdshit ever explained?

Furthermore, where is this git getting the money from? I thought he was declared bankrupt. Please prove me correct.

  2. JohnD,

If memory serves me right Birdshit was cleaned out. What made me laugh at the time was the statement from Green which went ‘For these rich, powerful men to pursue me into the bankruptcy courts over money I don’t have would be vindictive.’ Whilst completely missing the point that these costs would not have occurred if had not taken out the case against these men in the first place!

Like the anti-gay American pastors that, with surprising regularity, get caught with their pants down, I get the impression that Birdshit will be caught in a similar position soon. There is just something about him that screams ‘closet.’

The good thing is that the organisers of the event have some prior notice that he will be there. I’m sure some locals could print up some witty t-shirts/banners that might piss him off.

  3. Folks – slightly off topic.

I’ve just had a look at this months nonsense from Bob Hutton and it appears we might be finally getting to him. The statement below came from his latest article and, better still, he has had just 2 responses to it. Time to call it a day I think.

‘You may be interested to know that there is a particularly vile atheist blog called the freethinker (www.freethinker.co.uk) I have been on there and put on Christian comments telling them to repent but they have blocked me as they don’t believe in free speech. They are full of bile and hatred, please pray for them to be saved.’

  4. Here’s wishing Mardi Gras every success!

Anyone setting up a Punch and Judy stand? Haven’t seen one in years. Do put it on YouTube if you do :)

  5. What I would do is set up a sort of counter-protest, but not one that would make them seem important at all. Signs posted by trashcans encouraging people to properly dispose of their garbage such as empty containers and the “information” that is being passed out by the Birdshit gang. That way, people will be free to take these leaflets and immediately (and within sight of those passing them out) throw them in the trash. Not only will they burn through them fast, but they will be encouraged to not give them to people they believe will throw them away… which happens to be the people they want to reach.

The message will be clear, no one wants to listen to what they have to say.

  6. @tony e. Loved that Bob Hutton comment about us being “full of bile and hatred.” You would need to up the stakes to get close to a “bile and hatred” that salivates at the prospect of atheists being burned for eternity in “the everlasting fires that can never be quenched nor the agonies of the damned lessened.” Now that’s what I call real “bile and hatred”. None of the namby pamby stuff he gets from us which doesn’t go beyond words. We just are not in that league.

  7. That God not all Monotheists are like that idiot as his bunch of dubious followers. These are just control freaks that have no control over their own lives so feel the need to tell others how to believe. Fair enough this is a site for Atheists and maybe I should not be on here as I am a Monotheist but totally disassociate myself from these kind of imbeciles as most other Mono’s do. Bigots have no place anywhere in this world whether they are Godless or not.

  8. I am amused by the way Bob Hutton equates kicking him off your blog with being against free speech. We are not trying to silence him, just refusing to give him a free platform for his drivel. Had he actually brought anything useful to the discussions he would have been allowed the freedom to put an opposing point of view for as long as he liked. I believe that he was banned for being boringly repetative and constantly off topic.

As for green, he is a very sad individual indeed. I think that I read somewhere that before he found Jesus he was fairly normal, if that is in fact the case then he is a living example of how religion can wreck your life.

  9. I expect Green and his barmy mates will get laughed at. I too thought Green had been made bankrupt; perhaps he has some wealthy loony friends to fund his perverse hobby.

I haven’t looked at Hutton’s site for ages – far too predictable and boring; perhaps the sad git could join Green at his protest and get laughed at too.

  10. Cheers, tony e. It’s nice to know that this nauseating quasi-fascist oxygen thief has barely any money.

  11. Back to the OP’s party, may I suggest attendee’s bring loaded water pistols, just in case something needs cleaning…

  12. Can’t wait for the Anglesey seagulls to dive bomb him.

Also, given his recent press coverage, I hope the women and kids keep away from him.

  13. Wow, so much to talk about. Birdshit wants to remove their homosexuality, when what would serve him better is to remove their intelligence. Then they would buy into his bullshit without question.

    tony e quotes Hutton:

“They are full of bile and hatred, please pray for them to be saved.”

Well, until now, I didn’t know who Hutton was. And this is BDuke’s website, and I accord him the right to ban anyone, including me, if he feels like they are obstructing the debate. But what struck me was tony e’s quote, “they are full of bile and hatred”. When tony e called me a vile human being, and suggested I should crawl back under my rock, was that bile and hatred? I took it that way. Maybe I’m thin skinned. But, I find it particularly ironic that tony e is the one posting the quote. This after I told him that mormons giving ten percent of their income to the church was hilarious, uneducated victims in Tanzania are not.

I wonder sometimes, if you people, when you get out of the shower, and wipe the condensation off the mirror, do you REALLY see yourself? Do you even try?

Stop playing the misunderstood victim, like yourself it’s become predictable and boring.

  15. “The fact that people have been released from homosexuality by the word of Jesus is a major challenge for the gay rights movement”

    Sure, name one. Just one!

If sexual identity were a choice, I think I’d remember making it…..

  16. Well, at least it’s on Green’s doorstep. Must save a few bob on bus fares. I wonder if anyone has thought about counter-picketing him at his farm…

  17. two words; gay gene. look it up bigots.
oh no wait!…i forgot, people only PRETEND to be gay because they’re siding with the devil…silly me!

I refuse to debate you….NOT!!!!! You missed the point entirely. I am not a victim, you are a hypocrit. You spew vitreol at a freethinker, then ridicule a fundie for observing it. Please explain how you rectify all that in your mind. When you towel off the mirror, what do you see?

  19. ‘There is just something about him that screams ‘closet.’” by Tony e

This may be true but he is not by any means a practising homosexual.

A large intellect and a biitng inner turmoil may be the antecedents for Stephen’s behaviour. If he does have those desires it is not his fault and our Lord Almighty will understand .

A way of expiating his desires which are inconsistent with his strong faith.

To show God openly that he does not approve of his own desires by attempting to relieve the ‘sin’ from others. I think this is the case.
A desire to be near homosexuals and smile at them at Mardi gras will appease his desires.

  20. If he does have these desires and they’re not his fault why doesn’t he just come out and stop hating? Ah yes, screwed up by religion he can’t so he has to make sure no one else can live the normal life he craves.

  21. Rebecca – I think you are mistaken regarding the buffoon’s “large intellect” – try inserting the phrase “embarrassing stupidity” – and you would be closer to the mark.

  22. @shargraves

He has a wide intellect and is driven by nullifying his own inner desires to God.
Pity him for his disposition rather than mock.

  23. any body know who lifts Green’s luggage when he’s on the road?

  24. Rebecca – Mock? I lambast. This loudmouth degenerate has cost cancer charities thousands of pounds, in just one of his many self-promoting stunts. He is a despicable, hate-spewing bigot.

Intellect? Don’t make me laugh. If he could think his way out of a wet paper bag, he wouldn’t be such a loudmouth exponent of hugely-flawed, ignorant, laughable, bronze-age superstition.

I frankly don’t “pity” him – as it’s a pointless epithet when his angst, hatred, and bankruptcy is all self inflicted!

  25. As a caveat: all Stephen Green needs to do to join reality is to pick up a couple of books – one on evolutionary biology – the other on astrophysics – and if his intellect can understand them – then hallelujah: he’ll hopefully be cured of his troubled imaginary friends.

  26. Hutton and his cronies praying for me, how sweet.

  27. @ James – they used to say that about me too! Like any regular person would have that kind of time to just waste.
