Christians are being ‘crushed under the pink jackboot’, says lunatic ex-councillor

GAYS are the New Nazis, according to the demented leader of the Christian Peoples Alliance, Alan Craig.

In an article – Confronting the Gaystapo – published in the Church of England Newspaper and reprinted on his personal blog, Alan’s Angle – the ghastly Craig holds “a permissive New Labour government” mainly to blame “for the rise of the gay Wehrmacht” which has succeeded in occupying:

The Sudetenland social uplands of the Home Office, the educational establishment, the politically-correct police, and the Guardianista management of the BBC.

And he insists:

The UK’s victorious Gaystapo are now on a roll. Their gay-rights storm troopers take no prisoners as they annex our wider culture, and hotel owners, registrars, magistrates, doctors, counsellors, foster parents, grandparents, adoption agencies and traditional street preachers find themselves crushed under the pink jack-boot …

Flattered by appeasers and feted by the political class, the Oberkommandos from Stonewall and OutRage! have expansive goals for cultural hegemony and have long wanted to march on the next territory. They want to hijack a word and capture our culture at its deepest level. They want to reconfigure relationships, eliminate the traditional family and hence eradicate stable upbringing for our children. They want SSM – same-sex ‘marriage’.

The loon has more to say. Much, much more:

Unbelievably, the Conservative Prime Minister, betraying many centuries of Christian marriage in his green and pleasant land and naively revelling in his Munich moment, makes virtue out of vice, holds a piece of paper aloft and declares triumphantly to the Tory party conference, ‘It’s Gay Marriage in our time’.

Our civilisation, our values, our way of life – indeed the national character – are inevitably formed from the values of the Christian faith, as over a thousand years and more ‘Christianity’ and ‘Englishness’ have become fully entwined and fused. So erase Christianity and you erode Englishness and the nation loses its identity and self-confidence. In recent decades gay militants have been in the van of the secularist and new atheist assault on Christianity, and as a consequence our culture has corroded and debased and national confusion and self-doubt has grown.

He concludes:

There is a season and a time for everything under the sun. For Christians, the season of appeasement, fear and cowering in the corner is over … Now is the time for people of courage to rise up and defend marriage, our children and the very foundations of our civilisation.

Ben Summerskill, Chief Executive of Stonewall is quoted in this report as saying:

Given the horrific circumstances of the Holocaust, it is deeply disturbing and highly offensive that the Church of England Newspaper has chosen to compare supporters of equality with Nazis. We are sure that many of the paper’s advertisers, such as the University of Sheffield, will be deeply disturbed to read this crass and homophobic article.

Craig has been the leader of the Christian Peoples Alliance since 2004. The party has no MPs but has won several local council elections.

At least it shows that they’re rattled! What a wonderful place the world would be were we all to adopt Christian morality:

  2. tony e says:

So this muppet is angry because of the erosion of his faith?

    And the bad point is?

  3. The Woggler says:

It doesn’t say what council this nutter sits on. Do people really vote for scum like this?

  4. Barry Duke says:

Whoops, my error The Woogler. Craig was a councillor in Newham, East London, until 2010 when he lost his seat.

  5. AngieRS says:

Blimey, if it wasn’t for the picture, I’d swear it was birdshit Green having a go. What a nob!

  6. barriejohn says:

Please forgive another link, but Stephen Green is saying much the same thing:

    http://www.christianvoice.org.uk/?p=1980

Evidently, the financial crisis is a sign of “God’s judgment” upon the wicked (secular) EU!

  7. AngieRS says:

I see that nasty piece of work is setting tracking cookies now. And he seems to have a recruit on there. Same old drivel.

  8. Broga says:

Please tell me this crass and demented raving is a send up. It is, isn’t it?

  9. Tony says:

Methinks he doth protest too much. Perhaps he’s too scared to come out of his closet?

  10. Angela_K says:

Of course what is really happening: Gays are being crushed under the xtian jackboot. The Nazis – driven by religious zeal – were not to fond of us, so Craig’s comparison is nonsensical.

As much as I find Mr Craig’s ranting offensive, I’m pleased he does because of the self inflicted damage to xtain-insanity.

  11. David Anderson says:

How long will it be I wonder until people, especially the British, stop refering to Hitler’s Germany and the Nazis? The German people I know are fed up to the back teeth with this. Germans do not try to hide that terrible part of their history and if you visit Berlin you will see many monuments and museums dedicated to the horror of what took place, without censorship.

This man is obviously a gilipollas and the CoE newspaper should publish an apology to the idiots that read it and the people of Germany.

  12. Us chickens says:

Thanks especially to the green light from a permissive New Labour government, the gay Wehrmacht is on its long march through the institutions and has already occupied the Sudetenland social uplands of the Home Office …

This fellow is suffering from, among other things, an over-developed sense of metaphor. Bringing in the Nazis is a fail all by itself, but we also have a green light, a long march (wasn’t that Mao?), and most puzzlingly, something called the Sudetenland social uplands.

The Sudetenland, you will remember, is a bit of Czechosolvakia that Hitler invaded as a warm-up, just to see if anyone was awake. But “social uplands” has me beat. I searched Google for this specific phrase and Alan Craig seems to have scored a first use.

Does anyone know what it means?

  13. JohnMWhite says:

Why was this published in the Church of England newspaper? The CoE, while still dragging their feet and bickering a bit about discriminating against gays and women, certainly seem too polite and PR-conscious to start talking about homosexuals as Nazis. Why on earth would they think it’s a good idea to publish such vicious hate-speech, and if they are willing to publish this, are there other nasty articles that we’re missing?

It seems very uncharacteristic for them, and I wonder if perhaps there has been a change somewhere, something along the lines of a new editor with a bee in their bonnet about the gays. Either way, while we have to respect freedom of the press/speech and all that, I do not understand why they thought publishing something so crass and out of touch was a smart thing to do. It absolutely buries them more than anything we could say.

  14. Broga says:

@JohnMWhite: The blinding savagery and vitriol, with all sense of proportion and restraint gone, does seem misplaced in anything given a platform via the C. of E. I hope Craig’s rant is picked up by the main stream media.

The fact that it is made via the Church of England Newspaper makes it newsworthy. Perhaps Rowan Williams should be asked to comment on this and distance himself from Craig’s disgraceful comments. Can such a vile piece of uncontrolled bigotry really be left to fester? To ignore him is to tacitly encourage the odious Craig to give further voice to his sick opinions.

  15. Stonyground says:

It seems that gay people not only want to be allowed to marry but also want to have heterosexual marriage banned, or is that just a big fat lie. I always love the way these idiots like to claim that if we abandon Christianity we are somehow doomed. Most people abandoned Christianity decades ago and get along fine without it, modern Christians have abandoned most of it as well.

  16. Don says:

    John,

As I understand it the CofE newspaper is not actually published the CofE, although it advertises there and apparently any clergy read it.

I imagine Craig chuckled with smug delight everytime he came up with another hilarious nazi reference. On his blog he responds to a polite email from Stonewall by sneering that they made Melanie Phillips bigot of the year; as she is jewish that award is apparently a yellow star for her to wear.

  17. Don says:

    Sorry, ‘any’ should read ‘many’.

  18. ZombieHunter says:

It appears that I’m not the only one who is constantly fed up with nazi/hitler analogies, personally I think godwins law should become an actual law.

  19. Sabbag says:

Why are these people so concerned with what other people do with their sexy bits? It’s just bizarre…..as previously mentioned, methinks he doth protest too much….

  20. Don says:

Now is the time for people of courage to rise up and defend marriage, our children and the very foundations of our civilisation.

You just know that in his head an ecstatic crowd was cheering. He’s not just rising up to defend the foundations, it’s the very foundations.

BTW, the article seems to have vanished from the online version of the paper, unless anyone has a link?

  21. AgentCormac says:

    Don.

Don’t know if you’ve followed the link that barriejohn posted earlier to Birdshit Green’s site. If you have you’ll have seen similar sentiments. It’s like these idiots really do think there’s some kind of massive, silent majority of offended, downtrodden (i.e. ignored) xtians out there just waiting, like modern-day knights of the round table, to rise up in god’s hour of need to overthrow those who dare try to ignore biblical law.

Meanwhile, over at another bonkers site, you’ll find plenty more insane views on how those awful gay people are, shock! horror!, wheedling their way into the mainstream. Do please drop by, folks, and tell them what you think.

    He gay.

  23. Calixtus says:

What this man is talking about is happening here in Canada as well. Great Britain’s once proud society will fall beneath the boot sooner than will Canada. The part that puzzles me is that the pink boot will be a muzlim boot. How I do not know but the musselmens, never left-liberal but perhaps gay (?) are an intractable and patient lot. When the Emir takes over your fine land perhaps you can try for refugee status in Canada (for now, paradise on earth) except that Canada will by then not be allowing in either white people or Christians. So, put your knee pads on for enforced prayer, tell your girlfriend to say goodbye to her clitoris, start memorizing the gibberish in the koran, and get out your bottle of grease.

  24. Stuart W says:

With beautiful irony, the comments section underneath the blog entry shows Christians and atheists, straight and gay, uniting in pure droves to pour salt on the blithering snail.

    Examples from Christians –

‘I hate to break this to you, Alan, but you don’t speak for me as a (straight) Christian – or indeed any more than a tiny handful of the Christians I know. Shame on you for this embarrassing, hateful, clichéd, tabloid-level drivel.’

    Or…

‘It is so, so sad that people like you blacken the names of Christians. I’ve been a Christian all my life. However I find it difficult to call myself a Christian without having to deal with the negative perspectives people have of Christians because of people like you.’

    Or…

‘I’ve recently gone back to the church. I was raised catholic but now worship with the Anglican Church of Canada, precisely because I was trying to get away from this kind of infantile silliness.
Articles like this are so depressing’

    Or…

‘When I first read this article I thought it was a joke.
I have been raised a devout Christian, I was taught in a Convent and have remained a practicing Roman Catholic. But do you know what I’ve always been taught by them? Love thy neighbor. Its sad to think that in this day and age people are still so incredibly small minded that they feel the need to post such hurtful things online for the world to see.
One of my best friends, a young homosexual man, directed me to this Blog and its no wonder Christians are given such a bad name as far as accepting people of all race, religion and sexual orientation.’

Thank you Mr Craig, and bless your forum.

  25. JohnMWhite says:

Reading the comments on this guy’s blog is pretty interesting. He immediately goes on the attack against someone who disagrees with him, and accuses him in short order of ‘deliberate misrepresentation’ of his views because he… um… quoted them. Bizarrely he denies he has any hostility toward gay people and believes in a live-and-let-live approach, then immediately reiterates they are vicious Nazis who are a danger to us all. Oh dear.

This does tell us something, though. I see it frequently among the faithful – they hate to be called bigots or intolerant or have any other implication that they are nasty or doing harm to other people. They know perfectly well that such positions are no longer acceptable in society, so they use weasel words to try to squirm away from the label, all the while insisting on maintaining their bigoted, intolerant, harmful attitudes and applying them to other people. They seem to know they are defending the indefensible so they think rebranding it will help.

  26. Trevor blake says:

How much easier it is to whimper about feeling uncomfortable in the UK instead of doing something about the actual ongoing oppression and murder of Christians (and homosexuals, and Jews, and women… ) in Muslim nations. The ‘Jihad Watch’ site has all the information and isn’t hard to find. But no, it’s big weepy tears because some few men and women in the UK want their chance at he burdens and joys of family values and because there are homosexuals on the tv.

  27. Lena says:

Because clearly Christian LGBT people don’t exist.

  28. Angelo Ventura says:

They exist, and like others, are fed up with moronic nazi analogies.No-one obliges those so called anti-gay “Christians” to do anything, they only want to suppress other’s freedom. They can go piss themselves

  29. JohnMWhite says:

I noticed as I made a couple of comments that the replies to the post were requiring moderating first. Presumably admin was reading through everything and choosing what to post, and I was just on my way here to commend the guy for at least being willing to show comments that were pretty damning and critical. However, I just checked the site again and saw this:

Admin: “Comments on this post are now closed.”

Cowardice seems an unusually prevalent affliction among Christians, given the point of their faith.
