Pope Idol: for those of you you give a toss, winner of the poison chalice is Cardinal Bergoglio

THE new Pope, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, 76, (pronounced Ber-GOAL-io), will be called Francis I, the 266th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church. The Argentinian  is also the first non-European leader of the church in more than 1,200 years.

Pope

Good job they prepared his frock earlier.

I take it you don’t find Anne Widdicombe stunningly attractive. What are you, gay or something?

Have the secularist license payers (the majority) a case against the BBC? They have sent their “correspondents” and teams to Rome and a good question would be about how much they have spent covering this farce. They have obliterated swathes of airtime to repeat endlessly what we already know i.e. this is a non story. A group of emotionally stunted narcissists – many with paedophile tendencies – have dressed up in frocks to elect one of themselves to be their leader who has form himself as a junta supporter. One news item is enough.

The coverage is so biased, those appearing representing only one side, and the censorship of secular opinion so rigid that it out Goebbels Goebbells. In this the BBC has plumbed the pits.

    An Argentinian pope Francis Uno
Said “About sex I do know.
Llamas are fine and sheep are divine.
    But nino’s are numero uno.”

    Sorry forgot to say
    Out Goebbels Goebbels
    Brilliant.

Pope Francis/ former Cardinal Bergoglio the new leader of the world largest organized crime syndicate aka the Catholic church, well another here we are again: a homophobic, believer /supporter in abstinence, against women rights to choose, just another old white twatt who can not relate to the real issues facing our planet, by overpopulation. He is also accused of doing nothing during the Jorge Videla junta regime from 1976 -1983, in 2010 the Church issued a statement and apologized for not standing up to the regime, were 30000 people disappeared. Upside : well at least he was not a member of the Hitler Youth and covered up systematic child rape and abuse by Catholic clergy , throughout the world.

He is the pope of the poor – the first Jesuit, he lived in as small flat and took the bus, big f… deal, so they should. He kissed the feet of AIDS patients, well it didn’t bloody cure them and I really cannot see the point…. What does this even mean, is this a new cure ????? OMG you are fk… responsible for the AIDS epidemic in the poorest countries by condemning the use of condoms and your answer is kissing feet – newsflash they still die …….. . Unless he liquidates the Churches accumulated wealth of (yes wait for it) estimated $50 billion, sells all its real estate , give back all the art accumulated and stolen back to their original countries, extradite all priest and clergy accused of child rape/sexual abuse to its countries they committed the crime , you will not get my trust- approval or respect … I WILL NOT HOLD MY BREATH

  6. Broga says:

@chrsbol: Many thanks. The sad thing is that the description is accurate. And I take no pleasure at levelling it at The BBC from which we have a right to demand better. They have lost all sense of proportion and restraint. They also, perhaps because of the RCs holding senior posts, seem determined to assume that their audience shares their views.

Good post. Agree with every word.

The image of the wonderful Pope is collapsing like a house of cards. Try the Mail Online for a report on a family whose members were “disappeared” by the Junta and Francis refused to help. As a bonus you get a smiley photo of Francis looking happy with the leader of the Junta. Question: How much airtime will the BBC give this?

Papa Francis has hit the buffers already. Now that is fast. How much more is there to come out.

    Frankie say:

“We hope that legislators, heads of government, and health professionals, conscious of the dignity of human life and of the rootedness of the family in our peoples, will defend and protect it from the abominable crimes of abortion and euthanasia; that is their responsibility … We should commit ourselves to ‘eucharistic coherence’, that is, we should be conscious that people cannot receive Holy Communion and at the same time act or speak against the commandments, in particular when abortion, euthanasia, and other serious crimes against life and family are facilitated. This responsibility applies particularly to legislators, governors, and health professionals.”

    On homosexuality, Frankie say:

“Let’s not be naive: This is not a simple political fight; it is a destructive proposal to God’s plan. This is not a mere legislative proposal (that’s just its form), but a move by the father of lies that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God… Let’s look to St. Joseph, Mary, and the Child to ask fervently that they defend the Argentine family in this moment… May they support, defend, and accompany us in this war of God.”

  11. Lazy Susan says:

The good news is that the harder line Francis takes, the more out of touch the Church will appear.

The images of the cardinals, with all their wealth and pomp and power and privilege, in chapels that ostentatiously flaunt their riches over all who dare to enter … made me sick.

  14. Broga says:

Never forget that Frankie was in cahoots with the Junta. His reverence for life didn’t seem to extend to doing anything about their abominations. This man is going to be more trouble to the RCs than Ratzi. And Ratzi set a very low – or should that be high? – standard.

  15. AgentCormac says:

He is Ratty 2. He is Ratatouille.

  16. AgentCormac says:

According to the sycophantic Protect the Poop blog, where Nick the Knob is working himself up into a veritable froth of papal adulation, Frankie is ‘the first scientist pope’. Hmmmm. Wonder how the chief believer in fairy tales manages to square that particular circle?

As ever, god will no doubt be working in mysterious ways. While in the background Nick and his fellow apologists for heinous catholic crimes will be employing the usual verbal smoke and mirrors to maintain a waffer-thin veneer of media-ready credibility which conveniently ignores their church’s appalling malfeasances.

“responsible for the AIDS epidemic in the poorest countries by condemning the use of condoms”
You really think that, men listen to the Church on the issue of condom use but don’t bother about its teachings on promiscuous sex?
Where is the proof that abusive priests were moved to Rome? More likely some are in prison where they belong and many others are dead. As for the vast wealth the Church possess, a guesstimate from the Economist put it at about the same amount that was used to rescue Royal Bank of Scotland; a lot but not enough to change the world.

…I predicted the new Poop would be from S. America to a friend as the church is strong there, and where all the pedophiles are hiding. He will continue to protect them as the church needs no more disgrace by lawsuits…silence the truth.
