Orthodox Jewish hooligans create havoc on easyJet flight

Back in 2014, bad behaviour by Orthodox Jewish men who refuse to sit next to women on planes prompted a pair of American comedians – the Levinson Brothers – to create a spoof safety video about the problem (the picture above is a still from that video).

Just how serious the problem has become was demonstrated this week in the UK when police had to board an easyJet flight from Tel Aviv when it arrived in Luton to prevent a possible “breach of the peace” by a group of black-hatted fanatics.

One angry passenger who spoke to the Jewish Chronicle said it was “absolute bedlam” on the plane. No arrests were made however.

Tempers are said to have flared prior to the departure of Monday’s 2.55pm flight from Israel, when a group of Charedi men refused to take their seats next to female passengers on religious grounds.

The flight was full, but the men refused to listen to stewards’ requests to take their seats so the plane could take off.

Eventually, after a 15 minute stand-off, during which the men were said to have blocked the aisles, some of the female passengers offered to move from their seats to allow the men to sit down.

The passenger told the JC:

A group of around 10 ultra-Orthodox men caused absolute bedlam on the flight. It was infuriating to witness both for passengers and for the stewards, who tried but failed to control them.

At one point there were about 10 men in black hats blocking the aisles and refusing to sit down.

It was impossible for the stewards to get these people to listen to them.

When some of the women got up and moved seats to ensure that the plane got to take off, some of these men never even thought about saying ‘thank you’.

Then after the plane took off one male plugged his phone into the control panel above the stewards’ area.

This caused the exit lights to come on, the passenger said.

As the exit lights went on, some of the stewards looked as though they were really quite panicked.

One cabin crew member eventually went over to the man and demanded he take his mobile and said he was responsible for a possible compromise of safety.

In a statement, easyJet confirmed the incident had taken place.

The airline said:

easyJet can confirm that flight EZY2084 from Tel Aviv to Luton on 13 February 2017 was met by police on arrival at London Luton due to a small group of passengers behaving disruptively by not complying with the captain and cabin crew’s request to take their seats both prior to departure from Tel Aviv and during the flight.

For the safety of all passengers easyJet’s crew must ensure that whenever the seat belt signs are illuminated all passengers are in their seats with their seatbelts fastened.

easyJet’s cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.

Separately during the flight a passenger plugged a mobile device into a USB port on the crew control panel in the forward galley in a foolish attempt to charge it.

This led to the exit light above the panel being illuminated but did not in any way compromise the safety or security of the aircraft.

In a statement, Bedfordshire Police said:

We were called at around 5.55pm on Monday to reports of a group of disruptive men on a flight landing at London Luton Airport. Officers attended and escorted the men off the flight preventing a breach of the peace. No offences were found to have been committed.

“…Officers attended and escorted the men off the flight preventing a breach of the peace. No offences were found to have been committed…”. According to whose book were no offences committed? If Easyjet made it a rule to exclude these nutters from booking or boarding, guess who would be in court on some invented charge?

NO religion deserves respect!!! I wish My daughter was one of the girls!!! She would have said “sure my ticket costs $5000 give me that or piss off!!”
    Stewardess..”but we will be late!”
“fine! Then I will sue the airline for allowing it to happen…everyone hates jews…I will win!” Then stare them down!!

  3. Jim Thompson says:

Why aren’t these people arrested immediately when they fail to follow instructions from flight attendants.

I guess I’ll wear black top hat on all future flights

  4. Trevor Blake says:

Did you read about the deferential treatment people get when they refuse to sit next to Jews or Muslims or Christians on a plane? No? No. Only religion is given a pass for such foolishness

  5. AgentCormac says:

Spoilt brats – always used to getting their own way. They should grow up, and if they can’t behave like normal, civilised human beings on a plane, try walking from Tel Aviv to Luton instead.

  6. Alan Crowe says:

Why are ‘ultra’ religious men (boys) of all flavours terrified of women?
Nutters should have been escorted off the plane before it took off and given no refund.

  7. Matt says:

I wonder what would happen if I refused to to sit next to a burqah encapsulated muslim woman on a flight? I guess the outcome would be me getting thrown off the flight and arrested for racism. Yes, racism, even though muslims are not a race.

I don’t know why EasyJet finds this so difficult. A passenger refuses to remain in their assigned seat for takeoff gets to stay behind. Simple as that.

If these males (I cannot bring myself to call them “men”) are so insistent on sitting together, then they can damn well book far enough in advance that they all get adjoining seats and pay EasyJet’s minuscule fee to reserve seats. Good god, what a bunch of babies.

  9. Matt says:

Easy Jet don’t assign seats. Its a mad seat grab rush during boarding.

  10. Matt says:

    Here’s the solution.
Just put the Jew boys into heavy duty plastic bags.

It works to keep Jews pure from the death taint when flying over cemeteries.

Need anymore proof that religion turns innocent children into stupefied fuckwit bigots?

“Easy Jet don’t assign seats. Its a mad seat grab rush during boarding.”

Not true Matt, I just booked a return flight from Spain to the UK, and was able to choose the seats I wanted (for a small fee).

  12. barriejohn says:

Were they from Bethlehem? (It was bedlam).

Barry: If you find that you’ve been allocated a seat next to a raving religiot, just create merry hell!

  13. Gerhard says:

Most people don’t reserve seats in my experience and I have flown EJ hundreds of times. Nevertheless the only conclusion to this story is that the fuckwit Jew boys on that flight were either too mean to pay the extra or just wanted to cause mayhem for the sake of column inches. Jews are rapidly, if they have not already done so, run out of the goodwill currency arising from the holocaust. Jews have over-traded so much on that horrible issue that Jews are now just viewed as an out of touch, self pitying burden on society. Fundamentalist Jews learned nothing from the terrible actions of the Nazis and in not adjusting their behaviour have condemned all Jewry to ridicule condemnation and dislike.

Odd that this particular class of morons are so committed to acting out on airplanes. Do even Iranian or Saudi thugs try the same act?

The (C)haredis are a parasitical growth on Israel’s neck. The multi-party chaos of Israeli politics means that tiny fringe groups can handcuff the coalitions that every government must include.

Hopefully, one day there will be a ‘No, I’m not going to the back of the bus’ incident.

  16. Laura Roberts says:

As Barrie Duke said, EasyJet do in fact allow passengers to select seats in advance (usually about £10). I’ve done it myself (even sprung for front-row seats for a special occasion). Hence anyone who feels so strongly about “cooties” that they would throw a tantrum at the prospect of sitting next to a female should be more than willing to shell out £20 or £30 to ensure they get to sit next to another penis.

I am a Jewish woman who has the misfortune to live in Stamford Hill. I am surrounded by these nutters, who when alone are afraid to say boo to a goose! L ike mad dogs they attack in a mob. They only pretend to be religious, in reality they break every religious law, save those that suit them. They abuse women, live off handouts, are lazy ponces and perverted to boot. They lack personal hygience and srink, They are a disgrace and should all be shot.

  18. John says:

Why didn’t the plane captain get the Israeli police to haul these idiots off the plane at Tel Aviv?
They should also have been told that they had lost their ticket money for bad behaviour.
Their personal details should have been recorded and they should have been banned from ever flying Easyjet again.
All the airline has done is to invite more trouble in future.

Bet it would be a smelly one with STD!
