New Mexico cult: four more ‘aggressive’ Christians arrested

Following the recent arrest of members of the Aggressive Christianity Missions Training Corps – including Peter and and ‘General’ Deborah Green, above – four more members the paramilitary religious sect were detained by police this week.

According to this report, the arrests came four days after authorities raided the ACMTC’s Fence Lake compound and arrested sect co-leader Deborah Green and two other group members in connection with a child abuse investigation. Another person was arrested in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

A judge ordered Deborah Green to be held on a $500,000 secured bond on charges that included failure to report a birth, child abuse and sexual penetration of a minor.

Sect member Peter Green, also known as Mike Brandon, also was being held on a $5 million secured bond and faces 100 counts of sexual penetration of a child after being accused of raping a girl at least four times a week from the time she was 7.

Cibola County Sheriff Tony Mace confirmed that the four members of the ACMTC were arrested late Wednesday as deputies tried to execute a court order to pick up children for interviews.

Amos River, Victoria River, Ruth River and Timothy River were arrested after deputies stopped the two vans leaving the compound. Inside the vans were seven children, around $1,000 in cash, luggage and road maps.

Mace said:

Basically, you could tell they were getting ready to bug out and leave the area. I believe that’s in an effort to try to conceal the kids from us.

Mace said the children, believed to be ages 4-17, were turned over to the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department. Investigators believe the vans may have been headed to a location in Colorado.

The ACMTC, founded in Sacramento, California, describes itself as a group that is “revolutionary for Jesus” and provides a free spiritual “ammo pack” to anyone who submits a written request.

Photos of members show them in military-style clothing and on missions in Africa.

Its very messy website is laced with anti-Semitic language and anti-gay tirades about same-sex marriage.

What is it about religious nutjobs and child molesting? There really does seem to be a pattern.

  2. L.Long says:

Although some are better than their religion, all religions are, at their core, pure evil!

  3. Broga says:

Forget the Christian bit. Anyone who abuses children, some young and subject to “penetrative sex,” is a criminal.

Ammo pack? That’d be some armed wafers, off red wine and I’m guessing some canon law?

Could you imagine Jesus handing out “ammo packs”in the streets of Jerusalem and wearing combat fatigues? That the son of god, the arch turn- the -other- cheek pacifist, can spawn such religious neo-fascists! Though as we well know anything is possible in the world of religion.

Yes, that’s EXACTLY the Jesus that I see! I have an image in my mind of the “real Jesus” as an ignorant, brutal and nasty little urban warrior, similar to the Muslim thugs who terrorise our cities today, gathering around him a band of deluded and “radicalised” idiots who dreamed that they were going to ignite a fire which would destroy the Roman empire. As far as I am concerned, those who take at face value all the teachings about love and compassion attributed to him in the gospels are naive in the extreme (think Dead Sea Scrolls again), or just want to ignore facts that they find inconvenient.

Tragically, he succeeded — even if it took four and a half centuries for that fire to do its deadly work.

Infidel: Was it really Christianity that did that? Anyway, the “real Jesus” (he could have been fictitious, or even an amalgam of different Jesuses, as there were so many) wouldn’t have recognized the sect that grew up around his name, and that character was allegedly promising the destruction of Israel’s enemies within his own generation. That irrefutable fact has been pointed out here many times by different commenters, without response to my knowledge.

When Jesus was alive – if he ever was alive – there were no Christians then.
So how could he possibly have anything in common with these coupla crazies?
The reality of all of these cases – wherever they are found – is that religion provides these inhuman scum with the power they require to inflict their disgusting beliefs on others; beliefs that may seem religiously-based but are – in reality – based on nothing but a gigantic lust for power.

These people are sick. The leader, Peter Green is a very sick man. Raping a girl since she was seven should get him life in prison and then let Bubba get ahold of him. Murder, rape and maybe some inbreeding has take place and Green should receive the same. He even looks inbred with the Habsburg Jaw he’s hiding under that beard. It still goes to show, inbreeding among sick people still happens. I bet the General Green is his sister and not his wife he’s been having sex with. I bet they even voted for Honest Donald. It goes to show most people who has inbred blood in their family voted
for Honest Donald. Sick, just sick!
