Jamie C. Weir is an evolutionary biologist and entomologist. He received a PhD from the University of Edinburgh in 2023, where he studied the importance of synchronised seasonal timing in plant-insect interactions. His research has also considered the evolution of adaptive colouration in animals, particularly camouflage and polymorphism. He has received national recognition for his work, and has been awarded the Linnean Society of London’s John C Marsden Medal and the Zoological Society of London’s Prince Philip Medal.
