On 19 October, I was one of many speakers at the National Secular Society’s (NSS) 2024 conference on liberal values. It was an enjoyable and enlightening day, held in London’s Grand Connaught Rooms. Below are some videos from the day, featuring me and others from the Freethinker. The full playlist can be found here.
An aside before we begin. Funnily enough, on my way to speak at the conference, I was sitting outside a coffee shop and was handed a leaflet by some canvassing Jehovah’s Witness. Being polite, I accepted it with a smile. And I did mean to keep it, honestly. But I lost it somewhere in the Grand Connaught Rooms during the day. So if anyone found it, worry not—there were no JW infiltrators, just a forgetful (and reluctant) editor onto whom the leaflet had been pawed.

Finally, a big thank you to everyone at the NSS for organising such an engaging day. May there be many more.
