William Hagerup is a debate coach, former President of 104 London Debaters, Britain’s oldest debating Toastmasters club, and co-founder of the Online Debaters Club, Forum Colchester, and the Agora Debate Club London. He studied philosophy, linguistics, 18th-century English literature, and society at the University of Trondheim in Norway and King’s College London. He lives in Colchester, UK, where he works as a Senior Linguist, and he currently serves as Vice Chair of the King’s College Alumni Association. His first book was the semi-autobiographical novel 'In Good Faith', and his second novel, 'Vegan Slaughter', was published in August 2026. He is also the author of the debate manual 'The Really Practical Guide to Debating: How to Win Every Argument You Don’t Lose', published in December 2025.
